For over 15 years, FAN has stood beside girls and women in every sport and at every age, giving them the boost they need to chase “the next level.” You don’t have to be enrolled in school—what matters is your passion, your dedication, and your commitment to your sport.
Since 2009, FAN has awarded more than $194,000 in scholarships to 365+ athletes—each with their own story, goals, and determination. Now it’s your turn.

These scholarships are designed to encourage athletic participation in all sports and to help girls and women achieve “the next level” in their sport. Applicants do not need to be enrolled in any academic school or institution. The scholarships are open to females of any age and for any sport.
Awarded at the FAN Virtual Awards Ceremony in February 2027, the awards are to be utilized during the 2027 calendar year to participate in a sport.
Application Process and Information:
1. Applicants should review the application on the website before beginning the process of application. Completing the application will take preparation. We suggest you create your answers in a word processing program and copy and paste them into the appropriate areas of the application. ALL COMMUNICATION WITH SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS WILL BE THROUGH THE FAN EMAIL, thefemaleathletenetwork@gmail.com. Be sure to utilize a correct email address for correspondence and check your email folders (inbox and spam) for emails from the FAN in December 2026 for notification on scholarship status.

2. All applications must include a letter of recommendation. This letter is completed on-line by a coach, teacher, mentor, or someone who can address you as an individual. Recommendations may not come from family members. Applicants should forward the following link to the individual who will be completing the recommendation. Recommendations should be able to speak about your athletic experience and goals, and other experiences which support this effort. A link for the recommendations is listed below but also included in the scholarship application information. It is your responsibility to follow up with your recommender to ensure it has been submitted.

3. Of the total number of scholarships available, The FAN awards a limited number of scholarships based on financial need. Individuals who meet the Free/Reduced Price Lunch or Food Stamps requirements may apply for these specific awards. Documentation of this qualification must be submitted electronically to thefemaleathletenetwork@gmail.com by the application deadline to be considered for these awards. Demonstration of financial need is not required for all applications!

2. ALL DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION MUST BE SUBMITTED BY November 1, 2026.
