The F.A.N. owes much of its leadership, support, and confidence to its Board Members. Encompassing the mission and vision of The F.A.N., our Board is a diverse group of professionals that are all committed to advancing our work, maximizing our impact, and incorporating many points of view.

Patty 

Board President

Originally from: Lakewood, CO
Education: Go Big Red!
Played: Any sport school offered and then softball all summer. Still travel the country and play senior softball (60 and over team)
Profession: Human Resources Director, Triple Crown Sports
Also a part of/coach/random fact, etc: The Diet coke addicts team, the proud mom & grandma club, co-own a homecare company, founder of a non-profit called “protect the game” (providing military veterans free training to become youth sports officials), certified in executive/life coaching
Best memory of playing sports: any day I got/get to practice and any day i got/get to compete
I currently love to: stay in the best shape i can through kickboxing and long walks with family/friends/dogs. I also love empowering females to become all that they can be.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, math : minor, Reading from University of Northern Colorado
Played: Up to the National level in rugby (also field hockey, swimming, soccer)
Profession: scheduling manager at Orthopaedic and Spine center of the Rockies
Also a part of/coach/random fact, etc: played rugby up to the national level. Played 7 years, coached at CSU 7 years and have had 9 surgeries
Best memory of playing sports: being part of a team, seeing that all body types are needed in rugby, provided great life skills that i put to use daily
I currently love to: paddle board, camp, ski, find a good patio and attend concerts

Played: Basketball and Volleyball in college
Profession: Retired now but I was the Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator in CSU Athletics and the Director of Sports Programs in Campus Recreation at CSU for a career
Also a part of/coach/random fact, etc: Definitely proud of being in the Mom of the next generation of female athlete and the Grandma club; member of The Spirit Lake Protection Association an organization the serves to protect the Quality of Water and Quality of Life on the lake that I grew up on
Best memory of playing sports: Being a part of a team of women and the fun and friendships that I still have from that experience.
I currently love to: Take photos, spend time with my family who range from my 93 year old Mom, the matriarch, to my 18 month old Grandson, the youngest member of our family! I love being outdoors, fishing, snowshoeing, kayaking, boating

Best memory of playing sports: so, so many lifelong friendships, tears of joy and pain, and being part of a team
I currently love to: travel, paddleboard, ride my bike, teaching hs physical education and spend lots of time with my four kids and husband playing and goofing around!

Education: BA and MA, Physical Education, University of Northern Co. Once a BEAR, always a BEAR!
I played: and competed in every sport that I could as often as I could from MS through post college. I focused on Field Hockey, skiing, and softball.
Profession: educator, basketball official, athletic coach
I was Involved in Teacher development and teacher assessment throughout my career.
My best memories of playing sports continue to bring me joy! The mentors, friendships, and opportunities gained through sport continue to enrich my life.
I currently love to photograph nature, hike, play piano, take long walks with my nephew pup, learn new things, and help others.

Best memory of playing sports: the friendships and life lessons from playing/managing rugby are irreplaceable
I currently love to: have fun jobs, travel- esp. Cruises and our cabin, spend time with my partner, our dog, 3 cats and new puppy

Played: volleyball and softball in high school, and both recreationally as an adult.
Profession: Partner at The Group, Inc. Real Estate for 20 years/Managing Broker at the Centerra (Loveland) office for 15 years. I retired in 2019.
Also a part of/coach/random fact, etc: I coached competitive club softball for 15 years. I also founded my own softball club, the Colorado Classics. Currently I am a co-founder of the KongStrong Classic, a charitable organization created in my late husbands honor.
Best memory of playing sports: lifelong friendships made and the sense of accomplishment that comes with competing. As a coach, I loved watching kids passions bring them, and me, great joy.
I currently love to: golf, travel, enjoy sunshine and beaches, snuggle my dog, hang with family and friends.

Played: Volleyball, basketball and track for Rocky Mountain High School, Club Softball for the Fort Collins Buckaroos and Softball for Colorado State University from 1986-1990
Profession: Former Senior Heavy Highway Civil Construction Bridge Estimator
Currently: Self employed Private softball instructor and Head Varsity Softball Coach at University High School in Greeley, CO
All 3 of my daughters (Taylor, Haley and Bridgette) also played softball for CSU
Best memory of playing sports: the many coaches who positively impacted my athletic career, my teammates and the amazing friendships we still have. Winning back to back state high school softball championships with all 3 of my girls while coaching at Valley High School in 2010 and 2011
